Wyoming Water Development Commission/UW Water Research Program

The program provides funding for water related research at the University of Wyoming. Past program topics have included water supply, water quality, and forest management topics.

Open/closure date
Contemporary water topics/projects are gathered throughout the year and are included in an annual request for proposals which is approved by the WWDC in May of each year. Anyone can suggest relevant water topics to be included in the request for proposals.

Cost share?
Accepted research projects are funded by a combination of WWDC, USGS, and UW funds.

Who is eligible?
University of Wyoming professors that are seeking funds to conduct water related research that is responsive the request for proposals issued each year.

Funding from the WWDC is provided to the UW Office of Water Programs for distribution to research projects approved through the request for proposal process. Typically, the WWDC is funding 30 – 60% of total project costs.
